Lansdale got Googled!

Thursday, February 11

Lansdale got Googled last night.  Many times, I’m sure.

When you Google Lansdale, there are about 7,850,000 results.  Now, not all are our fine borough.  If you Google Lansdale PA, you still get about 1,230,000 results.    That’s about 75 Google results for every man, woman and child in this borough.  Wow.

So I’m not surprised that we got Googled in the normal sense last night.  But we really got Googled last night.

Because Google was in town, and along with the Penn Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Discover Lansdale, put on a great business event in Borough Hall.  Titled, Let’s Put Lansdale on the Map with Google, this event was designed to introduce Lansdale businesses to each other, and give information on how to put businesses, and our borough, on what has become the most widely used map in the world.

And who is helping put us on the map?  Just some of the borough attendees last night:

Scott Rudich of Round Guys Brewery

Donna Crosson of Signarama

The crew from Minuteman Press

The Hennings from Henning’s Trains

David VanGuilder from Breathe Salon & Day Spa

Rosemary Ferrino of Montco Elder Law

Food by Yanni’s Gyro, Capasso’s 2 Go and more!

And the introduction of two of Lansdale’s newest businesses, The Stove and Tap and Boardroom Spirits.

To say nothing of the scores of other local business people who were there.  Because I’m unfortunately going to say nothing and not list them because they were out in droves!  There were just too many to list,.

If the pulled pork and broccoli rabe sliders are any indication of the Stove & Tap’s food (look for them to open mid-March), we are in for a treat.  They were delicious.

And Boardroom Spirit's Local Lansdale Vodka is sure to be a hit.

It’s great that Google wants to help put us on the map.  I should say, put us on the map better.  Because we are already on the map!

Lansdale is open for business!

And that was clear last night.  You should be happy to live in a town that’s kicking it up a notch.

And if you don’t live here, you should stop by and visit our downtown.  There truly is a great variety of stores, restaurants and businesses that you’re just not going to find anywhere else.

We did have lunch at the West Main Diner, so I’m getting:

So, today’s score:

Let’s see what today brings!
